Who needs a stereo when you have ten girls in the back of your truck? Today I went to the site where the new school has been built and I took some of the girls along. They sang all the way (40 minutes drive). It’s amazing how much energy they have. The sun was bright and warm, the sky pretty as always. The roads awful as usually. It was interesting to hear directions when all we have in front of us were trees, bushes and nothing like a road... Like, "turn right", in my head... (where? Right towards this tree?). But anyway it was good to see how happy we can make these girls be just driving them around. The school is almost done and next year they may move to the new site. Too bad I won’t be here to see it done.
Melanie and João came for a visit. It’s always good to have visitors because I get the chance to eat really well =)
Time flies right now and soon I will be home. I will miss these girls sooooooooooooooo much and all the fun they can share even in a so very simple drive.
We made some ninja stars with colored paper today after lunch and after they were ready we started setting them as the constelations we can see from here such as the Crux and Orion.
I just love this place and being able to live here for a year was a very special gift in my life!
